Iran Parliament advances legislation on ‘new legal regime’ in Hormuz Strait 

The Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee has ratified a motion allowing the country to set up a new legal regime for the control of the Strait of Hormuz, a key waterway in the Persian Gulf responsible for a fifth of global oil supply.
